Every month or so the great people at Shebang come over and we have, literally, a product shoot party. They are the most organized client I have ever run across! Store owner Jen Tang and manager Aparna Puppala are a pretty amazing team. We set a record with last week’s shoot by photographing 70 handbags, both as still-life products as well as posed by Shebang supermodel Julie Westerlund; 50 clutches and wallets and 140 (!) items of jewelry. Aparna’s organization has doubled the efficiency of a year ago.
Shebang is also located in my building and has been a Wicker Park mainstay of fashion and chic for over over 5 years. They offer everything from elegant and super-cool bags in a wealth of materials, to groovy winter accessories, to elegant jewelry from designers right here in Chicago as well as across the country. I popped downstairs the other day to get some shots of the store as well.
