I've been a Chicago-based portrait and wedding photographer for over 15 years. My photography career began in Rome, Italy, where I started doing assignments in high school for local papers. I'm a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in Sociology and a self-taught photographer though I've assisted and learned from many photographers during and after my school years.

My wedding and portrait photography has been published in The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, TimeOut Chicago, Shutterbug Magazine, The Knot and Chicago Social Brides among others and I am a WPJA award winner.

My portrait photography is natural and simple. I make use of natural light as well as sophisticated studio lighting. The goal is always to make you look your best and to convey your look and ideas in a fresh and engaging way.

My wedding photography is photojournalistic and easy on the day and on the eyes. My customers can choose to have me and my team photograph the wedding, or choose to have one of my personally-trained Associate Photographers.

Pacific Northwest Trip

This past Fall Amy and I had a wonderful time in Washington and Oregon. I brought along my Leica and Canon S90 and took some photos for fun. A big thank you to my friend and colleague Barry Phipps who made some great scans of the film with his custom setup!
