Theresa & Mark: St. Josaphat’s and Germania Place

Theresa’s day began at the house she grew up in, just a block away from her ceremony, at St. Josaphat Church in Lincoln Park. From there we threw caution to the wind and got some fun photos at North Avenue Beach along the lakefront. And then it was off to Germania Place for the reception. Germania Place has to be one of the grandest and warmest places for a reception in Chicago. As you can see, it was quite a party! Congratulations Theresa and Mark!

I love this shot Kate got of Theresa's Mom during the preparation at the house.

Mark's Uncle's band, Park Place, came in from Cleveland and rocked the house.

As a photographer, you have to love any place with a balcony!

Theresa's Grandma was a powerful force on the dance floor.

Liza & Andrew: A New Leaf Wedding

Liza and Andrew had their sweet wedding at A New Leaf in Chicago. Though the venue is not a bright place, the light in it is just beautiful. And Liza and Andrew had thought of everything for the look of their wedding without letting things get out of hand with accentuations. Before the ceremony, we were able to hit a few downtown spots, including the Chicago River and Millennium Park.

Of course A New Leaf were the florists for the event and did a great job. And the catering was expertly and elegantly provided by J&L Catering. Spencer Lokken of Style Matters provided some amazing party sounds.
